"Philanthropy is an expression of love and an act of kindness. Compassion is the catalyst and a pure heart is the womb that allows dreams to be born. It is knowing the world will breathe easier because you have lived, smiled upon it, and spread your good will." - Manuel Diotte
Below is a list of my favorite organizations. I assure you that contacting them and donating a gift of any size will go further than you could ever imagine. The sum of all the parts (us) is greater than anything one can do on their own. Whether your help partly pay for a radiation treatment, a night in a hotel room for a parent whose child is getting treatment away from home, or provide an ill child a ticket to Disney, your contribution will make a difference. Call them, learn about them, visit their websites and give.
